8/29/2014 0 Comments A Story Of CompassionFriends, I am so glad that I can share with you a story. My story is about a small girl, beautiful both in figure and features. The story begins much like this:
Picture a girl whose heart is full of compassion for all peoples. She walks down the streets and looks upon every lost soul and grieves for them. Nor does the girl stop there, but her hands reach out to both the lost and the needy. Her smile extends to the hearts of everyone she meets. One afternoon the beautiful creature set out for an adventure to change the world. In the mind of this child, anything seemed possible. And with her hands reaching out and arms holding hope, she confidently took the first step to something greater and far more valuable than anything this world could give. It was deeply imprinted upon the young woman's heart to reach out and share the joy she had within her spirit to everyone who crossed her path. Whether it was a beautiful smile to the poor man on the street corner or a kind word to the tired woman next door, the girl willing and graciously gave her efforts towards such things. She soon learned that it was better and far more valuable to give than to receive. Days, weeks, and eventually years past and the sweet, little girl grew in Godly wisdom and blessed all with her unconditional, overflowing love that was only possessed from quality time spent drinking from an unconditional, overflowing Fountain of true love called Jesus. The girl's first steps to something greater was now far advance on her journey and with every step she grew closer to a beautiful treasure and home sweet home that she so very much longed for. The young woman in my story is someone deep inside who I long to be like. My everyday prayer is that God would give me a compassion for all peoples (even that annoying person I don't really care for), and that my hands would reach out and tell them about my faith in Christ. I want to put forth my efforts towards what I can give, not what I can receive. I want to pattern my life after something beautiful and full of compassion, and this is something that the world cannot give. I have found that what I really desire in life comes from the One who gave life and that, my friends, is an unconditional, overflowing Fountain of true love called Jesus!
